Could be thicker but would be too hot. This is not see through at all. I loved it because the fur puff matches my highlights of ash blonde on brunette hair. Very cute on my blue eyed baby girl… the gray color is a little on the blue/purple side not overtly but you know how grays can be more taupe/brown, or pink with too much red in it. I love the hat, was affordable and fun to match babe and look cute in the winter and fall. Everything I wanted!
