I saw these in a TV ad a long time ago and finally decided to buy them. I am amazed that they do exactly what they’re designed to do- prevent spilling. Helps me save time from having to clean my stovetop. I tried steaming some veggies on top. It works- but depending how wide your pot/pan is will determine how much veggies you can but on. After you’re done simmering/cooking, make sure you use a hot pad to remove it. They do get hot and will burn you. Overall though they are really handy and great!

Will still boil over if using too much water. Also found that must wait until pot contents are no longer boiling before removing the lid! I turned off the heat and removed the lid and contents boiled out of the pot and all over the place. This was my own fault, but there was no cautionary note about this. Otherwise, does what it says! Just a slght learning curve!
