I got this for the shower where I give my German Shepherd baths. The old hair catcher didn’t allow water to flow through well enough and moved around too easily. This one stays in place and catches the hair while letting the water through very easily. I was concerned that maybe it was letting too much dog hair through too but after I moved it aside, while there were obviously some hair that made it through, it was an acceptable amount considering how much it didn’t let through and still managed to keep the water flowing through nicely. Would recommend.

I had hoped this would replace my current drain cover, but it’s too big. However, it does sit nicely on top of that and pretty much stays put through a shower. It catches all my very long hair, preventing the clogging issue I have had. Some reviewers have said that this product doesn’t work well because it’s dome shaped. I use it with the slightly curved side down, not up, and that allows the hair to get caught more easily and stay put. My one complaint is related to the fact that it doesn’t sit down in the indentation where a drain cover would be in my shower and the rubber ring is enough of a lip that water doesn’t freely flow down the drain; that’s solved by moving it slightly askew after all the hair is safely trapped. This a problem with it not fitting in the drain, though, not with the basic design of the thing. I still wouldn’t be without it.
