I honestly got it on my first try. I hesitated buying the French braiding tool because so many people seemed to have trouble in the reviews. You do really need an extra hand in the beginning to keep it held tight. I do wish it came longer as my daughters hair is twice as long as this tool. I haven’t tried to add in a second piece. It does stay in the hair and it doesn’t bother her head at all.

This product was not used for it’s intended purpose. During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic it became necessary for my husband to use the N-95 (I think this is correct term) masks all day for his patients at a state facility. They were pulling very hard on his ears causing much pain and discomfort and were hard to keep in place. I had a bag full of hair implements that came as a set. Checking through this bag desperate to find something to help him. I came across one of these. Perfect! Placed this around his head and hooked the mask ear loops onto the clip on either side. Ordered this set so as to share with his staff and have extra for him. Thank you.
