I bought this UV-C lamp to sterilize my phone, shoes and clothing after coming home from work. I have been using a lot of the disinfectant spray before but I noticed that my skin gets really irritated whenever my phone gets in contact with my face. I work in a lab and has access to culture media so I did a before and after UV-C testing. I was so impressed with the result. After exposing my phone to the UV light for 5 minutes, there was no bacterial growth on the culture media whereas on the before testing had multiple colonies of bacteria that grew on the culture plate. I wanted to buy another one of this but it is currently unavailable. I hope they will have it on stock soon.

I picked this up to help with the Covid-19 mess we are all in that was thrust upon us for disinfecting surfaces, mail and around the house. I tested first by running in our master bath / shower. I ran it with exhaust fan running in 2 – 15 minute sessions in different positions. Ozone took a few hours to diminish, it does produce quite a bit but it’s not a problem for us. What we noticed is that when you enter the bathroom it just smells fresh and new and has remained so. We are sold on this bulb and will replace when needed.
For Covid-19 I have a box in the garage with the light in it where I made a small stand to separate mail standing upright and parallel with room for work gloves, masks etc. I run for 5 minutes with the lid on the box and assume all contents are disinfected and safe for use. It’s a confined space so 5 minutes should be sufficient.

LOVE IT! UVC germicidal lamps with ozone (the 185nm/254.7nm dual) absolutely do work. Seriously, I kick myself for not getting into UVC lamps like….20 years ago! They smush out the vilest of odors FAST. Moldy odors, gone after just a few applicatiosn. It is really insane how this technology works. Yep, I’m a believer in UVC lamps!
This lamp and fixture has been running at least once each day since I bought it, some days like 5 times. (I have lots of icky spots on a farm) It has held up flawlessly so far.

Hard to tell if these work for what I want them to. Killing germs which is hard to tell unless you run cultures. But as far as I can tell they worked. Would I buy these again. If I need to, I bought 3 already. You don’t want to be in the room as they do produce ozone an ultraviolet light. And after you should open the room for at least 1/2 hour to let the ozone dissipate You will get the smell of ozone but that just tells you its making it. Which is what is killing all the germs. Overall these are a good product.
